Hi, I’m Lynette.

I love cooking and helping folks feel good about what they are eating. I’ve always loved the challenge of creating with what is around me. My first recipe (published on a sticky note on the fridge) was for a very complicated backyard mud pie.

Since then, I’ve had a wide range of culinary experience and opportunities. At a small, organic farm in Washington state, I grew my appreciation for food at a root-deep level, and all of the love and work that goes into what we eat. While working for a bakery in Seattle, I not only learned so much about baking the finest european-style bread, I also came to recognize my passion for creating high-quality, nourishing food. At a small bar in North Carolina, my “kitchen” consisted of a sandwich bar, panini press, and a hot plate. We cranked out consistent and amazing food, and I learned what is possible with limited ingredients and equipment, but tons of heart and creativity. While working with a small personal chef company, I served a wide range of clients - creating client-specific recipes, planning and preparing meals based on their individual diet and budgetary needs.

During this time, I realized my cooking “specialty” is actually specializing. I’ve cooked for clients with various health-specific diet needs, food allergies and intolerances, complicated family mixes (paleo parent and vegetarian child…), and so much more! I love a new challenge and I’m so excited to continue my journey of learning, creating, and nourishing with you!

When I’m not cooking, I love spending time in my “yarden”, growing veggies, flowers, and some weeds! I’ve got two pups that require a lot of pets and playtime, some walks and runs, and the occasional trip to the beach. When adventuring in the low country, my husband and I love to get out on the water and into the back country in our kayaks (with our friendly neighborhood gang, the bexley boaters). Whenever we get the time, we love to head to the mountains for hikes, foraging, and cold river dips!

My Approach

I work with each client on an individualized plan to help provide thoughtful, nutritious, and delicious meals. My service includes meal planning, recipe development, grocery shopping, and in-home meal prep. I work with every client to decide what type of service will be best for the needs of their diet, family, and household. Weekly, bi-weekly, bi-monthly, and monthly are possible.
